Lexington Horse Ornament

Historic racehorse Lexington has been recreated as a Breyer Holiday Ornament.
It’s the 175th birthday of Lexington the horse! Born in 1850, Lexington was one of the fastest and most durable runners of his time.
Surviving the Civil War through clever moves and hideouts during crucial battles, he would persevere to become one of the sport’s great sires – leading the America’s sire list for 14 consecutive years! Lexington has been the subject of a New York Times bestseller, HORSE by Geraldine Brooks, as well as the recently published Lexington: The Extraordinary Life and Times of America’s Legendary Racehorse by Kim Wickens.
HAND CRAFTED DETAIL: The world's 'most asked for' horses since 1950. Each individual Breyer model is prepped and finished by hand and then turned over to the painting department for hand painting and detailing. In all, some 20 artisans work on each individual model horse, creating an exquisite hand-made model horse that is as individual as the horse that inspired it.
