Breyer'sŪ Indian Pony characterizes the spotted horses developed by the Nez Perce Indians. These ancestors of the Appaloosa were known for their speed and agility, which were helpful in a life of hunting and trading. Decked in traditional garb worn during war and ritual ceremonies, the pony is accompanied by a girl, Leotie, wearing a replica of Native American buckskin dresses that were made of the skin of deer, moose, elk and buffalo. 8" doll, outfit and tack are all made in leather with intricate hand beading and stitching detail.
